Cheeky Panda was founded back in 2016 with the goal to create an ultra-sustainable range of tissues and wipes, using the abundance of bamboo that was otherwise going to waste. 27,000 trees are wiped out as result of toilet roll production every day, causing loss of habitats, biodiversity and excess carbon emissions. Trees take 20-50 years to be ready for harvest, whereas bamboo can be ready in 3, without the need for fertilisers or pesticides that can be harmful to the environment and your skin.
Cheeky Panda’s plastic free range is aiming to reduce the amount of single use plastic that is produced to meet human need. On average, 8 million tonnes of plastic enter our seas each year, whereas only 20% of plastic is recycled.
