Accompanying photocopiable question sheets encourage further thought and discussion about the topics covered in each story, enabling the teacher to get a message across to a troubled student while avoiding confrontation, embarrassment and other problems that a more direct approach can sometimes create, even with those students who take offence at the slightest hint of criticism or who find it hard to speak up. The ultimate aim of these resources is to persuade students to consider those around them and the situations in which they might find themselves. They encourages a deeper understanding of cause and effect, right and wrong, and reward and consequence. The questions at the end of each story also allow teaching staff to gain an interesting insight into the thoughts and emotions of individual students.Stories with a message is flexible and can be used on an individual, group or whole-class level.
